A Brief Hello

Hello, my name is Ariel.

I love empowering my community to create pioneering products and programs for powerful social impact.

This is my story:

— After graduating from UC Berkeley with a Double Major degree in Media Studies and Political Science, I worked (and lived!) in three U.S. National Parks.

— At Yosemite National Park, Olympic National Park, and the Presidio of San Francisco, I learned to execute strategic plans for everything from park design charrettes to science education programs.

— To share my wonder of urban nature with the world, I directed product marketing for the Nature in the City Map with 27 institutions and community input. My design work here are recognized as resources for nature engagement in The New York Times and at SFMOMA.

— I’m curious about design. I joined the world’s largest design firm to help make ideas happen at scale. Whether working from home or at the office, I organize teams and align cross-functional operations at Gensler, a design firm with 50 offices worldwide.

This spring, I returned to the Pacific Northwest and lead marketing and communications at The Nippon Foundation Ocean Nexus Center at EarthLab, University of Washington. My objective: Share stories about humankind’s relationship to Earth and ultimately shape global environmental governance.

Beyond work, my favorite activities are performing improv and making tea at the perfect temperature. I also love traveling via public transit systems, learning languages, and trying out new forms of exercise whenever possible.

♥️ Ariel
